Description:
AAV8-TBG-GFP-shRNAmir(SCRM) is a pre-packaged recombinant AAV in serotype 8 that
expresses the GFP reporter together with a scrambled shRNAmir control, both
driven by the TBG promoter. The TBG promoter is a liver-specific hybrid promoter
derived from the human thyroid hormone–binding globulin (TBG) promoter and a
microglobulin/bikunin enhancer, enabling efficient and selective hepatic
transduction.
The shRNAmir design embeds shRNA within a microRNA scaffold (commonly miR-30 or
miR-155) and is expressed from a Pol II promoter, allowing physiologic
processing and tissue-specific gene knockdown with reduced toxicity. The virus
is supplied in a ready-to-use format.
