Keeping Your Information Secure:
Keeping your personal information secure is one of our most important responsibilities. We value your trust and handle your information with care. We will safeguard, according to established standards of security and confidentiality, any information our users share with us. Our employees access information about you when needed to maintain your accounts or otherwise meet your needs. We may also access information about you when considering a request from you for additional services or when exercising our rights under the law or any agreement with you. When Information is Collected and Not Collected:
When you register with SignaGen®, we collect profile information from you through our registration form. User profile information is stored and used by SignaGen for internal and market research purposes only. We also ask you to elect a user name and password. When a visitor requests pages on the SignaGen site, our servers automatically recognize the browser's domain name and IP address. Our servers also record e-mail addresses that you submit for registration. We may also collect statistical information about how users are generally searching the site and reserve the right to compile and publish user's profile information without user's name and addresses for reasonable business purposes.
We may use "cookies" (small pieces of information stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive) to track sessions and to personalize your experience on our site. Such uses allow us to improve our site and better tailor it to meet our users' needs. We also use this information, and other information we obtain from your current and past activities on the site, to troubleshoot problems and enforce our Terms and Conditions of use. In general SignaGen a will not share your information with anyone who is not an employee or affiliate of SignaGen, or who has not signed an appropriate non-disclosure agreement. When you register for participation in any SignaGen discussion forums, your user name or password is recorded solely for the purpose of maintaining your own account within the forum. No effort is made to identify individuals who participate in forums or to monitor their activity in any way.

How SignaGen Uses Your Information:
SignaGen will not sell, rent or share personally identifiable information about you to any third party unless we have previously informed you in disclosures or agreements, have been authorized by you, or are required by law. If we receive a subpoena or similar legal process demanding release of any information about you, we will generally attempt to notify you (unless we believe we are prohibited from doing so). Except as required by law or as described above, we do not share information with other parties, including government agencies. Further, the biological data you submit to the SignaGen site will not be used or identified by SignaGen or shared with any third party. You may, however elect to share your data with other researchers upon your own initiative.
We may use personally identifiable information about you to customize your experience on SignaGen, to analyze site usage, and to improve our content and product offerings. We use the e-mail address you submitted in the registration process to deliver the results of your research requests.
We may share information with third parties that, based on our experiential or other data, do not personally identify any of our users. This may include such information as product preferences within certain sectors of our user base for instance. We may use your information to determine the advertisements that are displayed on our Site. However, our advertisers do not have access to your personal information.  SignaGen may contact users by email, through a general notice on the pages of SignaGen or by written communication delivered by mail to the users' address on record in the SignaGen registration database.

We will correct any erroneous information as quickly as possible. You may amend your personal profile at any time by clicking on the "My SignaGen" link on any page.
