CalFectin™ Mammalian Cell Transfection Reagent

Description
CalFectin™ Mammalian DNA Tranfection Reagent is a pre-optimized and refined version of traditional calcium phosphate transfection reagent. With a new chemistry, CalFectin™ Reagent contains much lower concentration of calcium, leading to much lower cytotoxicity without sacrificing transfection efficiency. In addition, CalFectin™ Reagent is an effective method for the production of long-term stable and transient transfectants on most adherent cell lines. compared with liposome and polymer based transfection reagents, CalFectin™ Reagent shows distinguished features and much higher efficiency on HepG2, HEK293, CHO, Hela, COS, 3T3, LNcap, C6, PC12 and primary cultured cells, etc. CalFectin™ Reagent, 1.0 ml, is sufficient for ~666 transfections in 24 well plates or ~333 transfections in 6 well plates.

Application
High-efficiency stable or transient transfection of eukaryotic cells.

Feature
- High efficient: Components optimized for high transfection efficiencies
- Simple procedures: Total one tube reaction

Storage Condition
Store at 4 °C. If stored properly, the product is stable for 12 months or longer.

Comparisons of Transfection Efficiency of CalFectin™ Reagent with the Leading Brand Name Product
CalFectin_vs_Lipo2000_HEK293
A comparison study showing transfection efficiency of CalFectin™ Reagent vs. a leading product, Lipofectamine 2000 on HEK293T cells.
HEK293T cells were transfected with GFP tagged DNA (total 14 kb) by CalFectin™ (left panel) and Lipofectamine 2000 (right panel) respectively. The cells were visualized by Nikon Eclipse Fluorescence microscope 24 hours post transfection

CalFectin_vs_FugeneHD_HepG2
A comparison study showing transfection efficiency of CalFectin™ Reagent vs. a leading product, Lipofectamine 2000 on HepG2 cells. HepG2 cells were transfected with GFP vector (pEGFP-N3) by CalFectin™ (left panel) and Lipofectamine 2000 (right panel) respectively. The cells were visualized by Nikon Eclipse Fluorescence microscope 24 hours post transfection
