Description: LV-Syn-iCre-P2A-GFP
is a pre-made lentiviral vector that drives neurona-specific
expression of iCre, co-expressed with EGFP via a P2A linker under the control of
the human Synapsin
promoter. iCre is an improved version of Cre recombinase, an enzyme derived from
P1 bacteriophage that catalyzes site-specific recombination between loxP sites
in DNA. The "i" in iCre stands for "improved", referring to codon optimization
for higher expression and efficiency in mammalian cells.
