Description: LV-Syn-hM3D(Gq)-mCherry is a pre-made lentivirus which expresses Gq-coupled hM3D DREADD fused with mCherry under the control of human synapsin promoter. The transgene was modified form of human Gq-coupled M3 muscarinic receptor, belonging to a class of chemogenetic receptors called designer receptors exclusively activated by designer drugs (DREADD) which allows engagement of the Gq signaling pathway in the presence of the synthetic ligand clozapine-N-oxide (CNO), leading to intracellular calcium ion release and enhanced neuronal excitation.  Ready to use format.
