Description: LV-EF1α-iCre-P2A-GFP-Puro is a pre-made lentiviral vector that over-expresses iCre, co-expressed with EGFP via a P2A linker and puromycin selection via the IRES element under the control of the EF1a promoter. iCre is an improved version of Cre recombinase, an enzyme derived from P1 bacteriophage that catalyzes site-specific recombination between loxP sites in DNA. The "i" in iCre stands for "improved", referring to codon optimization for higher expression and efficiency in mammalian cells. Ready to use format.
