Description:
AAV9-GFAP-mCherry-shRNAmir(SCRM) is a pre-packaged recombinant AAV in serotype 9
that expresses the mCherry reporter together with a scrambled shRNAmir control, both
driven by the human GFAP promoter for glial/astrocyte-specific expression. The
shRNAmir design embeds shRNA within a microRNA scaffold (commonly miR-30 or
miR-155) and is expressed from a Pol II promoter, enabling physiologic
processing and tissue-specific gene knockdown with reduced toxicity. The virus
is supplied in a ready-to-use format.
