Description:
AAV1-Luc-PEST is a pre-packaged rAAV in serotype 1 (with capsid from AAV
serotype 1 and 2xITR from
AAV serotype 2) which over-express firefly luciferase fusion with PEST tag under
CMV promoter.
A PEST sequence is a peptide sequence that is rich in proline (P), glutamic acid
(E), serine (S), and threonine (T). It has been confirmed that PEST fused at
firefly luciferase at C-terminal significantly reduced the intracellular
half-life of luciferase, making it more suitable to faithfully monitor rapid yet
subtle changes in transcription in a medium to high throughput format.
