At SignaGen Laboratories, our Lentivirus Production Full Service provides a seamless, end-to-end solution for generating high-titer, research-grade lentiviral vectors tailored to each customer’s experimental needs. The workflow begins with digitally designed lentivectors or the customer-supplied gene of interests, followed by optional gene synthesis, precision cloning, and sequence-verified plasmid preparation to ensure complete construct integrity.
Lentiviral particles are produced in HEK293-derived producer cells using our proprietary LentiMax™ packaging system, which maximizes viral yield while maintaining biosafety and genetic stability. Viral supernatants are harvested, clarified, concentrated, and formulated to achieve high titers suitable for both in vitro transduction and in vivo delivery. Each batch undergoes rigorous quality control, including physical titer determination, functional transduction assays, and sterility testing to ensure reproducibility and reliability.
While lentivirus is not well suited for direct HDR donor delivery due to random genomic integration, it is highly effective for stable overexpression of large payloads such as Cas9 or other gene-editing enzymes, enabled by its superior packaging capacity. Consequently, combining lentivirus for nuclease expression with AAV or adenovirus for precise HDR donor delivery represents a powerful and complementary gene-editing strategy.
Final products are supplied in ready-to-use formats with detailed QC documentation. All intellectual property related to customer-supplied lentivector plasmids and resulting lentiviral vectors remains the sole property of the customer.
