Description: LV-Syn-iCre-P2A-GFP is a pre-made lentiviral vector designed for neuron-specific expression of iCre recombinase, with co-expression of EGFP mediated by a self-cleaving P2A peptide, under the control of the human synapsin promoter. iCre is a codon-optimized variant of Cre recombinase derived from bacteriophage P1 that catalyzes site-specific recombination between loxP sequences in DNA. The codon optimization (“i” for improved) enhances expression levels and recombination efficiency in mammalian cells. Supplied in a ready-to-use format.
