Description:
LV-CAG-Cre is a pre-made recombinant lentiviral vector that expresses Cre recombinase under the control of the strong, ubiquitous CAG promoter (also known as CBA), a hybrid promoter consisting of the CMV immediate-early enhancer and the chicken β-actin promoter. This promoter drives robust, long-term expression in a broad range of mammalian cell types, including both dividing and non-dividing cells. The vector enables efficient Cre-mediated recombination of loxP-flanked (floxed) sequences for gene deletion, activation, or lineage-tracing studies. Supplied as high-titer viral particles in a ready-to-use format, LV-CAG-Cre is suitable for both in vitro transduction and in vivo applications.
