Description:
GenMute™ siRNA Transfection Reagent for Insulinoma (INS) Cells is pre-optimized for efficient delivery of siRNA into INS cells. INS cells are tumor-derived pancreatic β-cell lines commonly used to study insulin secretion and β-cell biology. In normal physiology, pancreatic β cells release insulin in response to elevated blood glucose, and secretion decreases once glucose returns to baseline. In contrast, INS cells often exhibit dysregulated insulin secretion that is not tightly controlled by glucose levels, leading to continued insulin release and abnormally low glucose concentrations.

– GenMute™ Reagent, 1.0 mL, sufficient for ~833 reactions based on transfecting 25 pmol siRNA or miRNA mimics in a 24-well plate
– GenMute™ Transfection Buffer (5x ), formulated for maximal transfection efficiency, 8.0 mL to make 40 mL working solution
Refer to the following optimal transfection conditions for maximal silencing on INS cells. GenMute™ reagent, 1.0 ml, is sufficient for ~833 transfections in 24-well plates or ~416 transfections in 6-well plates.
