Description:
GenJet™ Plus In Vitro DNA Transfection Reagent is an enhanced formulation of the original GenJet™ In Vitro DNA Transfection Reagent. GenJet™ Plus incorporates a proprietary booster peptide, resulting in up to 20-fold higher transfection efficiency across a wide range of mammalian cell types compared to the previous version.

GenJet™ Plus has been demonstrated to efficiently deliver genes into numerous established cell lines as well as primary cells, including HEK293, 293T, 293E, CHO, COS-1, HeLa, NIH/3T3, insect cell lines (Sf9 and Sf21), and many other eukaryotic cell types, while maintaining low cytotoxicity.

One 1.0 mL vial of GenJet™ Plus Reagent is sufficient for approximately 667 transfections in 24-well plates or 333 transfections in 6-well plates.

GenJet™ Plus is the top choice for hard-to-transfect cells. Efficiency comparison of GenJet™ Plus In Vitro DNA Transfection Reagent (left panel) with Lipofectamine 2000 (L2K, right panel) on primary cultured rat aortic smooth muscle cells. A nuclear-targeted GFP DNA was transfected with GenJet™ Plus and L2K, respectively per the manufacturer’s protocols. The efficiency was checked 48 hours post-transfection. Exceptionally high titers of lentivirus were generated from 293T cells. Three DNAs co-transfected with GenJet™ Plus In Vitro DNA Transfection Reagent (left panel) in comparison with Lipofectamine LTX (right panel). 1.0 and 10 microliters of virus supernatant from 293T cells were used to counter-infect 293F cells, which were then passed by FACS. The numbers in the upper right corner indicate the percentage of transduced cells. The titers of lentivirus generated with GenJet™ Plus and Lipofectamine LTX were quantified to be 2.1×10⁶ and 9.3×10⁶ tu/ml, respectively.
