GenJet™ DNA In Vitro Transfection Reagent for C6 Glioma Cells is specifically optimized for efficient plasmid DNA transfection in C6 glioma cells. The C6 cell line, originally derived from chemically induced rat glioma, is one of the most widely used in vitro models in neurobiology, neuro-oncology, and glioma research. Compared with primary neural cells, C6 cells offer significant advantages, including ease of culture, robust growth, and the ability to generate large cell numbers. However, C6 cells are often challenging to transfect using conventional non-viral gene delivery methods. GenJet™ Reagent has been pre-optimized to overcome these limitations, enabling efficient DNA delivery with transfection efficiencies exceeding 60% while maintaining cell viabilities greater than 90% under optimized conditions.

The transfection conditions described below have been optimized to achieve maximal transfection efficiency in C6 glioma cells. One milliliter of GenJet™ Reagent is sufficient for approximately 300–600 transfections in 24-well plates or 150–300 transfections in 6-well plates, depending on the culture format and amount of DNA used.

Storage Condition
Store at 4°C. When maintained under the recommended storage conditions, the product remains stable for at least 24 months.
