GenJet™ In Vitro DNA Transfection Reagent for C2C12 Cells
Description
GenJet™ DNA In Vitro Transfection Reagent for C2C12 Cells is pre-optimized for efficient plasmid DNA delivery into C2C12 myoblasts. The C2C12 cell line was originally established by Yaffe and Saxel (1977) through selective serial passage of myoblasts isolated from the thigh muscle of C3H mice following crush injury. C2C12 cells retain the ability to differentiate into multinucleated myotubes and are widely used as an in vitro model for studying skeletal muscle development, myogenic differentiation, muscle-specific gene regulation, myosin phosphorylation pathways, and androgen receptor (AR) signaling.
Refer to the following recommended transfection conditions for achieving maximal transfection efficiency in C2C12 cells. One milliliter of GenJet™ reagent is sufficient for approximately 300–600 transfections in 24-well plates or 150–300 transfections in 6-well plates.
Storage Conditions
Store at 4°C. Under recommended storage conditions, the product is stable for at least 24 months.
