Ad-CMV-SaCas9

Product Category: Human Adenovirus Type 5 (dE1/E3) | Ad-SaCas9 | Ad-CMV-SaCas9
Description:
Ad-CMV-SaCas9 is a pre-packaged, replication-deficient human adenovirus type 5 (E1/E3 deleted) engineered for efficient CRISPR-mediated genome editing in mammalian cells. This vector expresses a codon-optimized Staphylococcus aureus Cas9 (SaCas9) nuclease under the control of the strong CMV promoter, enabling robust expression across a wide range of cell types.
SaCas9 is a compact CRISPR nuclease that recognizes a longer PAM sequence (NNGRRT), offering enhanced targeting specificity and making it particularly advantageous for applications with vector size constraints.
This adenoviral system enables high-efficiency transduction in both dividing and non-dividing cells, making it well suited for transient genome editing, functional genomics studies, and in vivo applications. Guide RNAs (gRNAs) can be delivered separately or via compatible vectors to achieve precise, sequence-specific DNA modification.
Supplied in a ready-to-use format for in vitro and in vivo research applications.
Storage Buffer: DMEM with 2% BSA & 2.5% Glycerol
