Description:
Ad-CMV-AkaLuc is a pre-made recombinant human adenovirus type 5 engineered to express AkaLuc under the control of the CMV promoter, enabling robust transgene expression in a wide range of cell types. This vector is well-suited for both in vitro assays and in vivo bioluminescence imaging applications.
AkaLuc is an engineered luciferase optimized for use with the substrate AkaLumine-HCl, delivering markedly enhanced in vivo sensitivity—approximately 10–100× brighter than conventional firefly luciferase in mouse models. Its near-infrared emission (~675 nm) allows improved tissue penetration and reduced background autofluorescence, making it particularly advantageous for deep-tissue imaging.
The virus is provided in a ready-to-use format for immediate experimental application.
