Description:
AAV9-U6-shRNA(Scramble)-EF1a-GFP is a pre-packaged recombinant AAV serotype 9 vector (AAV9 capsid with AAV2 inverted terminal repeats [ITRs]) that expresses a non-targeting scramble shRNA under the U6 promoter, with co-expression of enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) under the human EF1α promoter as a reporter. The EF1α promoter drives robust and stable transgene expression in a broad range of mammalian cell types.
This vector serves as an ideal negative control for shRNA-mediated gene knockdown studies in both cultured cells and animal models, enabling assessment of transduction efficiency and reporter expression while minimizing sequence-specific gene silencing effects.
