Description:
AAV8-TTR-Cre is a pre-packaged recombinant AAV serotype 8 vector (AAV8 capsid with AAV2 ITRs) that expresses Cre recombinase under the control of the liver-specific transthyretin (TTR) promoter. This design enables robust, hepatocyte-targeted Cre expression for efficient recombination of floxed (LoxP-flanked) alleles in liver tissue. Cre recombinase, derived from bacteriophage P1, catalyzes site-specific recombination between LoxP sites and is widely used for conditional gene knockout or activation in cells and experimental animals. Supplied in a ready-to-use format for in vitro and in vivo applications.
