Product Category: Pre-made recombinant AAV | AAV(PHP.eB)-Syn-httQ150 | AAV-Syn-httQ150
Description:
AAV(PHP.eB)-Syn-httQ150 is a pre-made recombinant adeno-associated virus (rAAV) packaged with the engineered PHP.eB capsid (with AAV2 ITRs) designed for neuron-specific expression of a huntingtin (HTT) protein fragment containing 150 CAG repeats (encoding glutamine, Q), representing a highly pathogenic polyglutamine (polyQ150) expansion associated with Huntington’s disease. Expression is driven by the human synapsin (Syn) promoter, enabling selective and robust transgene expression in neuronal populations.
The PHP.eB capsid enables enhanced blood–brain barrier (BBB) penetration and widespread neuronal transduction following systemic delivery in mice, making it highly suitable for central nervous system (CNS) studies. The httQ150 construct drives pronounced protein misfolding, aggregation, and inclusion body formation, recapitulating key pathological features of Huntington’s disease and enabling robust modeling of neurodegeneration.
This vector is well-suited for neuroscience research, neurodegeneration studies, and in vivo CNS disease modeling. By restricting expression to neurons, AAV(PHP.eB)-Syn-httQ150 enables precise investigation of mutant HTT toxicity and disease mechanisms in relevant cell types.
Supplied in a ready-to-use format, AAV(PHP.eB)-Syn-httQ150 provides high neuronal transduction efficiency and consistent expression for both in vitro neuronal cultures and in vivo mouse models.
