AAVrg-Synapsin-Cre-mCherry is a pre-packaged recombinant AAV (rAAV) packaged in the engineered retrograde serotype AAVrg (containing the AAVrg capsid and AAV2 inverted terminal repeats [ITRs]). This vector expresses a Cre-mCherry fusion protein under the control of the human Synapsin promoter, enabling neuron-specific transgene expression. Supplied in a ready-to-use format, it is well suited for neuronal labeling, circuit tracing, and Cre-mediated genetic manipulation studies.
AAVrg is an engineered AAV serotype with enhanced retrograde transport properties, making it a valuable tool for mapping neuronal connectivity and targeting projection neurons in the central and peripheral nervous systems.
