Description:
AAV-hSyn-FLExFRT-GFP-T2A-Synaptophysin-mRuby is a ready-to-package AAV vector designed for Flp-dependent neuronal labeling and synaptic visualization. The corresponding AAV cis plasmid is already available and ready for immediate AAV packaging—simply choose your desired AAV serotype to initiate production.
The human synapsin (hSyn) promoter drives neuron-selective expression through a FLExFRT configuration, enabling Flp-dependent control of the expression cassette. Upon Flp-mediated recombination, the vector expresses GFP together with Synaptophysin-mRuby, allowing visualization of transduced neurons and fluorescent labeling of synaptophysin-positive presynaptic structures. The two components are linked through a T2A self-cleaving peptide to support expression from a single transcript.
This vector is particularly useful for Flp-dependent neuronal tracing, intersectional genetic studies, neuronal morphology analysis, presynaptic terminal labeling, and neural circuit mapping.
