Description:
AAV8-CMV-saCas9-U6-sgRNA(Scramble) is a pre-packaged recombinant AAV serotype 8 vector (AAV9 capsid with AAV2 inverted terminal repeats [ITRs]) that expresses Staphylococcus aureus Cas9 (SaCas9) under the control of the CMV promoter, together with a non-targeting scrambled single-guide RNA (sgRNA) driven by the U6 promoter.
This vector serves as an ideal negative control for CRISPR/Cas9 genome-editing experiments in both cultured cells and animal models, enabling assessment of Cas9 expression and vector-related effects in the absence of sequence-specific genome targeting.
The vector genome is configured as: ITR–CMV–SaCas9–PolyA–U6–sgRNA(Scramble)–ITR
