AAV9-miniCMV-SpCas9 is a pre-packaged recombinant AAV vector based on serotype 9 (AAV9 capsid with AAV2 ITRs), designed for efficient delivery and expression of a human codon-optimized Streptococcus pyogenes Cas9 (SpCas9) nuclease. Expression is driven by the compact miniCMV promoter, enabling robust Cas9 expression while maintaining a minimized cassette size suitable for AAV packaging constraints.
This vector is optimized for in vivo genome editing applications, particularly in tissues with high AAV9 tropism such as the central nervous system, heart, and muscle. Supplied in a ready-to-use format, it is suitable for both in vitro and in vivo CRISPR-mediated gene editing studies.
