Description:
AAV2-CaMKII-DIO-AKAR2-CR is a recombinant adeno-associated virus packaged in serotype 2, engineered for Cre-dependent, neuron-specific expression of the AKAR2-CR biosensor. The construct is driven by the CaMKII promoter, enabling selective targeting of excitatory neurons, while the DIO (double-floxed inverted open reading frame) configuration ensures expression only in the presence of Cre recombinase.

AKAR2-CR is a genetically encoded FRET-based reporter designed to monitor protein kinase A (PKA) activity in real time, allowing dynamic visualization of intracellular signaling pathways in live cells or in vivo.
