AAV9-CAG-Tau(P301L) is a pre-made recombinant adeno-associated virus (rAAV) packaged in serotype 9 (AAV9 capsid with AAV2 ITRs), designed for high-level expression of human tau protein carrying the pathogenic P301L mutation. Expression is driven by the strong and ubiquitous CAG promoter, enabling robust transgene expression across a wide range of cell types, including neurons in the central nervous system.
The P301L mutation in tau is a well-characterized pathogenic variant associated with tauopathies such as frontotemporal dementia and is widely used to model tau aggregation, neurofibrillary tangle formation, and neurodegeneration.
This vector is suitable for both in vitro and in vivo studies of tau pathology, disease progression, and evaluation of therapeutic strategies targeting tau-mediated neurodegeneration. Ready-to-use format.
