Description:
AAV(BI30)-CAG-GFP is a pre-packaged recombinant adeno-associated virus (rAAV) in serotype BI30, featuring a capsid with strong tropism for central nervous system (CNS) endothelial cells. This vector drives high-level expression of EGFP under the control of the CAG promoter (also known as CBA), a hybrid promoter composed of the cytomegalovirus (CMV) immediate-early enhancer and the chicken β-actin promoter, enabling robust transgene expression in mammalian cells.
Compared with rAAV serotype 9, rAAV(BI30) exhibits markedly enhanced ability to cross the blood–brain barrier (BBB) and transduce CNS tissues following systemic (tail vein) intravenous administration, achieving up to 50-fold higher transduction efficiency. This product is supplied in a ready-to-use format.
