Description:
AAV6.2-CAG-GFP is a pre-packaged recombinant AAV serotype 6.2 vector (AAV6.2 capsid with AAV2 ITRs) that expresses enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) under the control of the CAG promoter (also known as the CBA promoter). The CAG promoter combines the cytomegalovirus (CMV) immediate-early enhancer with the chicken β-actin promoter, enabling robust and ubiquitous transgene expression in a wide range of mammalian cells.
The AAV6.2 capsid contains a single amino acid substitution (F129L) in the VP1 capsid protein compared with wild-type AAV6. This modification provides enhanced transduction efficiency, particularly in primary human airway epithelial cells and murine lung epithelial cells, making AAV6.2 an excellent choice for pulmonary gene delivery and respiratory research.
