Product Category: Pre-made recombinant AAV | AAV(PHP.eB)-CAG-GFP-httQ23 | AAV-CAG-GFP-httQ23
Description:
AAV(PHP.eB)-CAG-GFP-httQ23 is a pre-made recombinant adeno-associated virus (rAAV) packaged with the engineered PHP.eB capsid (with AAV2 ITRs) for enhanced central nervous system (CNS) transduction. This vector is designed for robust expression of a GFP-tagged huntingtin (HTT) protein fragment containing 23 CAG repeats (encoding glutamine, Q), representing a non-pathogenic polyglutamine (polyQ23) tract of the wild-type form. Expression is driven by the strong, ubiquitous CAG promoter (CMV enhancer/chicken β-actin promoter), enabling high-level gene expression across neurons and other CNS cell types.
The PHP.eB capsid enables efficient blood–brain barrier (BBB) penetration and widespread transduction of the brain following systemic delivery in mice, making it particularly suitable for in vivo neuroscience studies. The GFP fusion allows direct visualization of HTT protein localization, intracellular trafficking, and expression patterns throughout the CNS.
As a non-pathogenic control, httQ23 serves as a critical baseline comparator for studies involving mutant huntingtin variants with expanded polyglutamine repeats. This vector is ideal for CNS-wide gene expression, neuronal labeling, and Huntington’s disease research.
Supplied in a ready-to-use format, AAV(PHP.eB)-CAG-GFP-httQ23 provides high transduction efficiency and consistent expression for both in vitro and in vivo applications, especially in mouse brain studies.
