Description:
AAV(BI30)-CAG-Cre-3xmiR122 is a pre-packaged recombinant AAV vector utilizing the BI30 capsid, which exhibits tropism for CNS endothelial cells. This vector drives expression of Cre recombinase under the control of the CAG promoter (also known as CBA), a hybrid promoter combining the cytomegalovirus (CMV) early enhancer with the chicken β-actin promoter to achieve robust, ubiquitous expression in mammalian cells.
To enhance tissue specificity, the construct incorporates three tandem miR-122 target sequences, which suppress transgene expression in hepatocytes where miR-122 is highly expressed, thereby reducing off-target liver expression.
