Description: AAV(BR1)-CAG-mCherry
is a pre-packaged rAAV in serotype retrograde (with
capsid from AAV serotype BR1 and
2xITR from AAV serotype 2) which over-expresses mCherry under
CAG (also known as CBA) promoter. CAG promoter is a combination of the
cytomegalovirus (CMV) early enhancer element and chicken beta-actin promoter
for high levels of gene
expression in mammalian expression vectors. Ready
to use format.
AAV serotype BR1, a newly identified serotype from capsid AAV2 mutant has
shown excellent transduction efficiency for neurovascular
(blood–brain barrier‐associated) endothelial cells in vivo and in vitro.
AAV‐BR1
can be used to ameliorate the severe neurological impairments in a mouse model
of incontinentia pigmenti.
